Understanding and Resolving Cloudiness in DAG Oils
Why It Happens and How to Keep Your Oil in Perfect Condition.

DAG oils are celebrated for their superior nutritional profile, but you might notice that they appear cloudy or even partially solidified at cooler temperatures.

This natural process is a hallmark of their high-quality, enzymatically crafted composition and does not compromise their quality or flavor.

Cloudiness in DAG oils occurs because of their sensitivity to temperature changes. Even at cooler temperatures as high as 15°C (59°F), DAG oils may partially solidify or appear cloudy due to the harmless precipitation of certain fatty acids.

This is a natural process and a hallmark of the oil’s unique composition. The solidification is reversible and does not affect the oil’s quality, taste, or nutritional value.

How to Bring Solidified DAG Oil Back to Liquid

If your retail bottle of DAG Oil has solidified due to cooler temperatures, don’t worry – it’s easy to restore it to its liquid state:

  1. Prepare Warm Water: Fill a sink or bowl with warm (not hot) water.
  2. Submerge the Bottle: Place your sealed DAG Oil bottle into the water.
  3. Wait Patiently: Allow the bottle to sit for 10 to 20 minutes, giving the oil enough time to return to its liquid form.
  4. Shake Well: After the oil has liquefied, shake the bottle to mix any separated components for even consistency.

You might notice small particles floating in the oil after it returns to liquid form. These are naturally occurring components of the oil that may separate during solidification. This is perfectly normal and safe – your oil is still high-quality and ready to use!

Storage Instructions

DAG oils are sensitive to temperature changes and may naturally develop light precipitation at room temperature or solidify when exposed to cooler conditions. This is a normal and reversible process that does not affect the oil’s quality, taste, or nutritional value. Simply shake well before use. For optimal freshness, consume within 3 months of opening and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
